9to5: Women Working for Equal Pay, Power and Participation!

9to5: Women Powering Change!

9to5 members have been on the frontlines, working for economic security for all women—particularly women of color—for the past 45 years. We still have many barriers to overcome before we achieve our vision—full economic equality:

  • Women earn only 80% of what men earn on average, and that percentage is far lower for women of color
  • Nearly one in three women are not eligible for paid sick days
  • Housing in most major cities is no longer affordable for working families
  • Sexual harassment remains widespread

Our solution?

It’s the power of participation—the power of women working TOGETHER to solve these problems.  Equal pay, equal participation, equal power—it’s our answer and it’s time.  Join us! Power the change!

Equal Opportunity

Equal Opportunity

Women, on average, earn only 80 cents for every dollar earned by men. The standard should be equal pay for equal work!
Work Family Flexibility

Work Family Flexibility

Only 15% of workers have access to paid family leave through their employers. We shouldn’t have to choose between the job we need and the family we love.
Family Supporting Jobs

Family Supporting Jobs

Two-thirds of workers who earn minimum wage, or less, are women. We need living wages that allow women to support themselves and their families!
Power of Participation

Power of Participation

To change policies we need power, and we need representation. We’re participating, we’re voting, and we’re making real change—together!
