Panhia was born in a refugee camp and immigrated to the United States in 2000.  Through her experiences, going through poverty and systemic oppression, Panhia is passionate about being the change she seeks in this world.  From this passion, she has completed multiple projects throughout the years in the non-profit sector to help give to those in need.  Along with these projects, she has advocated and hosted workshops for topics that open up conversations and instigate change she holds dear such as mental health, suicide prevention, and gender equality.  Panhia has also helped found, manage, and coordinate multiple Pro-Bono programs to give back to the community.   As Michelle Obama says it best: “success isn’t about how much money you make; it’s about the difference you make in people’s lives.”  Panhia hopes to embody this and impact as many people’s lives as she can.
