After years of grassroots campaigning and activism, Georgia became the first southern state to adopt Ban the Box fair hiring policies when Gov. Nathan Deal signed an executive order Feb. 23
On Feb. 17th, 2015 Macon-Bibb passed a resolution 6-3 for the city/county government to draft and pass a ban the box ordinance.
