STATEMENT: The Fight for $15 Sweeps the Globe
Fast food workers are standing up to demand fair wages and the right to organize without retaliation. In more than 150 cities, and 30 countries, low-wage workers are on strike from the $200 billion fast food industry.
Event: Reformed Citizen’s “Ban the Box” Committee Meeting
Join in the movement to “Ban the Box” and end employment discrimination for formerly incarcerated individuals! Meetings are held every first Wednesday of the month.
Event: Raise Up MKE Worker Action
This Thursday is the one year anniversary of the first fast food workers strike in Wisconsin for higher wages and a union. Join us to kick off a summer of action to highlight income inequality with a rally at the Milwaukee County Courthouse and march to the Grand Avenue Mall.
Event: Justice for All Unity Parade and Program
May 17th is the 60th anniversary of Brown v. Board. And we will celebrate and continue the struggle for equal educational opportunities and social justice in our communities. Join us for the Unity Parade and program.

I knew I needed to do something so I took a job at Walmart to help us make ends meet. While I make a higher hourly wage than many of my coworkers, my husband and I struggled to get by on my salary. There were days I missed work simply because I couldn’t afford the gas to get there.
